Biography:
Anne-Christine d'Adesky was born in Michigan, United States and is of French and Haitian descent. In addition to her activism, she is an investigative journalist, an author and a documentary filmmaker.
Much of her prolific career has been spent on educating others about the HIV/AIDS crisis while also helping those personally affected by the disease. She is also a strong advocate for women and LGBTQ+ rights.
Anne- Christine has founded many humanitarian organizations including: WE ACTx, PotoFanm+Fi and PotoFi, to name a few.
Interesting facts:
Anne-Christine organized a historic French/Creole performance of V's (formerly Eve Ensler) The Vagina Monologues, performed in the Haitian Parliament in 2014.
Anne-Christine created a blog called Haiti Vox, which reported on the post-earthquake (of 2010) humanitarian response.
Anne-Christine was nominated for the prestigious Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting in 1998.
