Biography:
Barbara Pierre was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She moved to the United States where she attended high school in Florida and college at St-Augustine's where she majored in Accounting.
She represented Haiti in the 2008 Beijing Olympic summer games (100m sprint) where she placed 4th in her 1st round heat.
In 2011, she won 2 silver medals in the Pan American games.
Interesting facts:
Barbara Pierre's events are the 60 and 100 meter dashes.
In 2013, she was the 4th fastest sprinter in the world with a personal best of 10.85 seconds (100m).
She returned to Haiti after the 2010 earthquake to provide humanitarian aid.

Olympians are athletes who compete at Olympic games, regardless if they win a medal or don’t. Being eligible to participate in that renowned event means that they have displayed outstanding athletic abilities and achieved excellent results in their respective sports. It is not an easy thing to accomplish, which is why every athlete that reaches the Olympic team deserves the utmost respect.
